The Monrovia City Court has responded swiftly by issuing a writ of arrest for Lawrence K. Williams, the driver responsible for the incident. The charges include murder, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering the lives of others, as detailed in the Revised Penal Code of the Republic of Liberia.
The horrifying event unfolded around 10:00 pm on November 20, claiming the lives of Peter Gray, Mariama Kromah, and Varney Shulman, while leaving dozens injured. The writ of arrest states that Williams’ alleged actions were “unlawful, wicked, illegal, and intentional,” constituting a violation of specific sections of the penal code. The accused driver is now obligated to appear before the Monrovia City Court to respond to these serious charges.
