Sen. McGill and Six other Lawmakers adhere to President Boakai “Drug Test” Mandate

Capitol Hill, Monrovia–Following a call to public officials for drug test by Liberia head of state Pres. Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr, scores of Lawmakers from the Liberian Senate took the mantle to do their drug test.

Heading the team for the test was Margibi County Senator and chair on education Nathaniel F. McGill who noted that the steep taken by he and six other colleges of the Liberian Senate is in response to implementing the president stance when it comes to fighting against drugs in the country.
The rest of the Lawmakers include:
Sen. James Biney of Maryland County, Senator Darius Dillon of Montserrado County, Senator Simeon Taylor of Grand Cape Mount County, Senator Johnny Kpehe of Bong County, Senator Zoe Pennue of Grand Gedeh County and Senator Wellington Geevon Smith of Rivercess County.

The consumption of illicit drugs in Liberia is said to be on the increase as the youthful population across the country mostly becoming the victims.
As a means of eradicating the situation that is almost consider as a “nightmare” The President of Liberia Joseph N. Boakai Sr., in his first State of the nation address declared war on Drugs with a call for collective efforts of all Liberian to join the fight. He mentioned that he and his Vice President Jeremiah Kung were going to begin the fight with a drug test conducted on each of them.
