MONROVIA–The former Executive Director and founder of Justice forum Liberia Ambassador Maxson Kpakio is calling on the Government of Liberia headed by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., to revisit all mysterious deaths cases that occurred for the past six years including the case of the ‘More Than Me’ organization of Miss Katie Meyler of the United States of America.
Speaking via a telephone conversation from the United Kingdom, Ambassador Maxson Kpakio reminded the rescue mission government that the re-visitation of these cases will lead the government to a great fight against impunity and help to bring closure and peace in many homes that are still fragile due to these barbaric incidents that were perpetrated by individuals who could still be living among their victims.
He said, “Once again, I am appealing to President Boakai to constitute a special presidential task force that will be able to critically review mysterious death cases including the late auditors, the three missing men, Odell Sherman, and the EPS agent, Melvin Earley and others.”
Meanwhile the CEO of Restoring Hope foundation of Liberia is commending the Liberian Leader for taking a bold step in keeping his promise made during the campaign activities including the sinning of Executive order Number 131 to supporting the call for the establishment of a war and economic crimes court in Liberia.
Ambassador Kpakio who has been one of the strongest advocates since 2009 in the quest of campaigning and ensuring that impunity is dealt with, expressed gratitude to the Rescue Mission Government under the leadership of President Boakai for this landmark and historical decision taken.
He at the same time frowned on individuals who were in positions to have ensured that justice is served but failed to do so for the personal quest.
