Former CDC Chairman Mulbah K. Morlu regresses to activism; welcomes establishment of War and Economic Crimes Court.

Monrovia, Liberia- Barely two weeks after his resignation as chairman of the Former Ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, Mulbah K. Morlu Jr., has reverted to political activism.

The posture of the Former CDC Chairman was stared during the launch of a group under the banner Solidarity & Trust for a New Day ( STAND) at the PHP Park in Monrovia, where Morlu accepted to Serve as Chairman of the Human Rights Advocacy group.

Morlu emphasized that the group’s primary goal focuses on justice and the rule of law stating that War and Economic Crimes Court establishment is pivotal to the organization’s vision.

“We are not against UP, CDC, or any other political party instead, this is a national call for Justice”.Mulbah Morlu asserted.

He however frowned at police brutality meted out against protesters in Kinjor Grand Cape Mount and highlighted plans to ensure Justice prevail.

Following the launching Ceremony, Mr. Morlu wrote the following statements on his Facebook page.

“Today at the launch of the civil society organization, STAND (Solidarity & Trust for A New Day), I became The People’s Chairman with peace of mind & deep respect. Finally, I’ve found my place; & the day the Lord calls, my tombstone will read, ‘There lies a brother who spent all his life advocating for his people’. A big thanks to the people of Liberia.”
