Monrovia Liberia – In a significant show of support, the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL) has officially endorsed Joseph Nyumah Boakai’s bid for the presidency. Commander in Chief of the EFFL, Emmanuel Gonquah, declared that the organization is throwing its weight behind Boakai’s candidacy due to his unwavering commitment to the betterment of the nation.
Gonquah stressed the importance of having leaders who possess self-belief and a genuine desire to uplift the people rather than merely pursuing power. He expressed the EFFL’s conviction that Boakai’s leadership represents a beacon of hope for Liberia, vowing to support what he referred to as the “rescue team.”
Highlighting the urgent need to restore the nation’s lost credibility, Gonqua emphasized the necessity for quality education and healthcare for all Liberians. He underscored that the current state of education in the country, where many children are unable to access quality education, demands a leader who can guarantee access to higher education and proper medical services.
Gonquah’s endorsement of the Boakai bid follows a series of consultations with citizens and members of the EFFL. He commended both Boakai and his running mate, Senator Prince Moye, for possessing the qualities and capabilities required to transform Liberia and improve the lives of its people.

Calling upon all Liberians to rally behind the “rescue team,” Gonqua urged unity to ensure a successful mission that leads to a single-term presidency for incumbent George Weah. He also pledged the EFFL’s commitment to initiate effective national security operations.
The commander in chief made these remarks during a regular press conference held at the EFFL’s headquarters in Congo Town. The endorsement by the EFFL serves as a notable development in Liberia’s political landscape, signaling growing support for Joseph Nyumah Boakai’s bid for the presidency. As the campaign season unfolds, the EFFL’s endorsement adds to the momentum of Boakai’s candidacy and reflects the aspirations of Liberians for a brighter future.
