Monrovia, Liberia– The Commander in Chief of Economic Freedom Fighters Julius S. Malema has attributed the defeat of Liberia outgoing president George M. Weah at the November 14 presidential runoff pool to what he consider as not been loyal to commitment.
The South African politician who is currently in Liberia to form part of President-Elect Boakai’s inaugural ceremony told reporters at the Roberts International Airport that the democratically removal of Liberia’s one term president Weah was due to his inability to deliver on his promises made to Liberians during Elections period. He asserted that the action from Liberians is a precedent that every meaningful African politician should learn from.
The South African Parliamentarian in the same vein caution President-Elect Joseph N. Boakai to seek the interest of Liberians by delivering on promises made during campaign time, and not to repeat similar mistakes that led to the defeat the outgoing government. The upholding of peace, economic development empowerment of African indigenous people should be the topmost priority of the Incoming Boakai’s administration.
Julius Sello Malema is a South African politician who is the founder and leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, a populist far-left political party known for the red berets and military-style outfits worn by its members. He arrived in Liberia early Sunday January 21, 2024 to grace the inaugural ceremony of Liberia’s 26th president Joseph Nyuma Boakai, where he was received by EEEL Liberia Leader Emmanuel Gonquoi and supporters.
