By Capitol Hill – Legislative Staffs have all reasons to smile, as they have received assurances from the Speaker of the House of Representatives that the House’s current changes will improve their standard of living and foster a thriving workforce.
According to Hon. Fonati Koffa, the effort to reform is focused on enhancing working conditions and digitizing the House of Representatives to bring it into line with modern realities.
Both the staff and the House of Representatives will benefit from these developments. He also advised the employees to treat their tasks seriously and with professionalism while at work. He claimed that his political goals included improving every Liberian’s life rather than just winning the office of speaker.
These statements were made by the Grand Kru Lawmaker on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, during a speech at a House of Representatives staff appreciation session held at the William R. Tolbert Jr. Joint Assembly Hall. The workers had convened to express gratitude to Speaker Koffa for the current reforms aimed at improving working conditions and raising salaries.
