As part of its exuberant efforts to pave the way against the crisis, assurances have been given that there will be no shortages in the market. and that importers have made an initial commitment of $200,000 for local rice production and expressed intentions to increase the investment in the future.
The war in the Middle East, along with other global factors, is said to be affecting several major commodities across the globe, including rice.
The government has been sensitive to the importance of the commodities in the country, which has underscored plans for significant investment in the area of local production.
