Tragic Motor Accident Claims Three Lives on Gbarnga-Suakoko Highway

Gbarnga, Bong County -A devastating motor accident on the Suakoko-Gbarnga Highway in Bong County has left three individuals dead and three others critically injured. Eyewitnesses at the scene recounted that the incident occurred when a yellow Nissan Primera taxi, reportedly speeding from Monrovia on Tuesday afternoon, collided head-on with a truck traveling in the opposite lane near the Gbarnga Immigration Check Point.

Tragically, the driver of the Nissan Primera and two passengers were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Phebe Referral Hospital in Suakoko District by attending medical personnel. Meanwhile, three other individuals sustained severe injuries in the accident. The victims include one male driver and five females.

In response to this devastating incident, Madam Mary Hawallen, the head of traffic at LNP-Bong Detachment, confirmed that the truck operator is presently in police custody. The three injured victims are being transferred to Monrovia for further medical treatment. As the investigation unfolds, authorities have yet to release the identities of the passengers involved in the tragic collision. Remarkably, there were no reported fatalities from the occupants of the truck that bore the brunt of the taxi’s forceful impact.
