President Weah had urged citizens to support Senator Saytumah, emphasizing their mutual friendship and political cooperation.
However, the audience’s discontent was evident, with many vocally expressing their disapproval of the incumbent senator. Some attendees asserted that they had gathered solely to demonstrate their support for the President, rather than to endorse Senator Saytumah’s candidacy.
The incumbent lawmaker, who has held his Senate position for nine years, notably chairing the influential Ways and Means and Finance committee, faces strong criticism for his alleged failure to improve the lives of Bomi County residents. Frustrated citizens conveyed their intent to resoundingly reject Senator Morris Saytumah, even if he runs on the CDC ticket, in the upcoming elections slated for October 10.
