Monrovia, Liberia- The orator of this year National Flag day celebration for this year National Flag day celebration Mr. Wantoe Teah Wantoe is calling on Liberian youths to maintain peace as Liberia goes to election in October.
Wantoe in his address emphasized on the maintenance of peace that has lasted for 20 years.
Mr. Wantoe urged Liberians to prioritize Stability of Peace instead of turning back to the the fourteen years of civil unrest experienced in the past. He furthered lamented that Liberian Youth’s are the key holders of the Peace that the country currently enjoys for the fact that 63 percent of the country’s population are youth.”Once the Youths of the nation are resolved to choose peace over conflict, definitely it’s possible to have a stable peace”. the orator added.

Wantoe also used the occasion to calls on Political Parties includinghe ruling establishment to maintain the country Peace during these electoral periods, cautioning every Liberian to partake in the Peace building process as the country goes to election in October.of the Country.”with Peace, Liberia stands a better chance for development and investment from international communities.
The Liberian youth in his conclusion statement extended commendation to the Government of Liberia for the level of improvement in the Educational sector.

He highlighted the payment of WASSCE fee for students and it’s positive results as significant step taking by the Government of Liberia to improve the leaning system. “Educators need to see accountability as the bedrock of quality education” he maintained.This year flag day celebration begin with a weeklong activities including Sporting and a Parade of Schools across Monrovia.
This year August 24 National Flag day celebration under the theme “The Lonestar the Symbol of Unity and Nationalism” was grace by officials of government, and other international dignitaries.
The National Flag day celebration kickoff with a grand Parade beginning from the Barclay Training center and climaxed at the Centennial Memorial Pavilion with 50 high schools as participants.
