Monrovia, Liberia– As criminal rate gets rampant across Monrovia, numerous citizens become victimized including Liberia Journalist Othello Nimely Over the weekend at St Michael Junction in Gardnerville.
Journalists Othello Nimely explaining his Odel to Reporters expressed that on December 1 2023, while on his way home by night hours he was attacked by a group of criminals at the small St. Michael Junction in Gardnerville.
The Liberian Journalist alleged that his “Baja motorbike”, a brand-new pair of sneakers, and a power bank were forcefully taken away by the criminals.
Othello Nimely a freelance journalist,who contributes to several electronic and online media platforms, including Joy FM 101.5 explained that he was able to identify one of the criminals which he informed the police the Next morning.
He furthered that despite numerous information provided by victims and community residents to the police about the ongoing criminal harassment at Small St. Michael Junction, New Georgia junction and Bardnesville Junctions, “no action has been taken to curb these acts, leaving citizens in a perpetual state of fear”.
Othello is calling on authority of the Liberia National Police to quickly investigate and ensure his motorcycle and other belongings are retrieve and giving back to him.
interestingly, the police have arrested one suspect in connection to the crime, and is currently in custody at the Saah Joseph police station undergoing investigation.
