Liberia Ex President  calls for unity among citizens amidst growing concerns of electoral violence.

Monrovia, Liberia– Former president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has cautioned Liberians on the maintenance of peace as the country goes to election in October.

The former Liberia Leader spoke during the launch of a peace forum in Monrovia calls on Liberians to Unite and Live in peace as the Country gear towards election. Her call is in response to constant electoral violence which poses threat to the existing peace.

Madam Sirleaf described Unity as the driving force that allows peaceful and Transparent election in every nation.She believes that the presence of Unity is essential to provide the country a sustainable development after many years of civil unrest.

The former head of state further emphasized that Liberia can only regain it’s status of achievement with the intervention of stable Peace.

“In this crucial time of decision making it’s necessary for Liberians to stand for unity and embrace the sense of togetherness.” she maintained.

President Sirleaf furthered that Citizens of Liberia should live in a suitable and protective environment as the country goes to the ballot in October.

“Despite your county of origin or Tribal background or Religious Liberian should be as one especially in this crucial time of election.” she asserted.

President Sirleaf unveiled that the maintenance of Peace should be preserve for the current generation of Liberia as well as the future Generations.She at the same time highlighted the significants of women participation in the Liberian body politics.Sirleaf called on the women of Liberia to muster the courage and get involved in the upcoming election 10 decision making process.

She used the occasion to admonish Citizens to take advantage of the voting process and encouraged eligible voters to think properly before taking decision on October 10, stating that the decision made will speak for them in the next six or nine years.
