Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) under the leadership of Chairperson Cllr. Alexandra Zoe is urging departing officials from the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) government to undergo a transparent asset departure declaration. The call comes as part of the commission’s commitment to fostering accountability, openness, and ethical conduct within public service.
Cllr. Zoe emphasized the importance of a comprehensive asset departure declaration, encompassing real estate, financial holdings, investments, and other financial interests. The process is aimed at ensuring transparency and ethical behavior during the departure of government employees.
Speaking at a press conference held at the LACC headquarters in Congo Town on Tuesday, Cllr. Zoe highlighted that this initiative is in line with the commission’s dedication to combating corruption and promoting good governance. She stressed that the asset declaration procedure is not only a legal requirement but a crucial step in upholding moral standards and demonstrating a commitment to integrity.
