CAPITOL HILL, Monrovia – Members of the House of Representatives summon the directors of Roberts International Airport, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and the State Department for Presidential Affairs over what they perceive to be a slight against former President George Weah.
The House plenary is asking the officials to explain why a former president and VIP were not allowed to visit the RIA VIP lounge. The policies that are being implemented are of interest to the MPs. Representative Yekeh Kolubah of Montserrado County District #10 sent out the invitations to the officials.
According to Representative Kolubah, they stood up for change throughout the election process. But it’s inappropriate to treat a former president disrespectfully right now.
Other legislators who supported him included Representatives Dixon Seboe Montserrado District #16; Steve Tequah of Rivercess County District #2; and Clarence Gahr of Margibi County District number Five.
It can be recalled that Eugen Nabge, former Maritime Boss, through a local radio talkshow alarmed that Former President George Manneh Weah denied access to the Clara Marie Weah VIP Lounge at RIA while traveling to honor an invitation of a diplomatic meeting in Accra, Ghana. Same was raised in February of thus year, prompting the house of representatives to cite various authorities linked to the situation.
