Monrovia, Liberia– Former Chief of Staff and Defense Minister of the Joseph Nyuma Boakai govt in person of Gen Prince C Johnson has tendered in his letter of resignation.
His resignation comes in a wake of continous protest by women calling themselves Military wives Association and widows of enlisted men of the AFL.
According to the Retired General Prince C. Johnson’s letter, his decision to resign is in the “Best interest of the Country as well as the entity he served”.
Gen Johnson who was recently appointment and subsequently confirmed my the Liberia Senate has been under immense tension to resign Due to several allegations including corruption.
Prior to his confirmation, the Army Wives issues a statement to the Liberian Senate, calling on the Honorable body not to confirm the former chief of staff due to Corruption allegations, lack of adequate insurance, low salary amongst many others.
