Congo Town – Liberia’s President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., has for the first time chaired his cabinet retreat under the theme “Coordination and Performance: Delivering on National Agenda Priorities,”.
In an opening remark at the EJS Ministerial Complex, the Liberian Head of State challenged officials of his government to collaborate in harmony and unity, inorder to strive towards a common goal of the Liberian populace.
“Expectations of our people are at an all-time high. To deliver on those hopes, we must do things differently and with a renewed sense of patriotism and determination to deliver on our promises.”
President Boakai urged his ministers, Directors and others appointees in Order to set a lasting legacy for his administration.
“Let us not be swayed by greed, corruption, or self-interest, but rather let us be guided by a sense of duty and responsibility to our citizens.” He added.
Noting that the fate of a nation lies in the hands of its leaders, the Liberian leader warned officials of government to engage in thoughtful, constructive, and open conversation as a means of promoting good governance, rather than living at the expense of the ordinary citizens.
“live up to the expectations of your job, or step aside.” He warned.
