The route of corruption and incompetency within the CDC government signaled when former president Weah began appointing bunch of unqualified and ignorant individuals into integrity institutions, creating easy access for clandestine deeds, deviating institutions norms and policies.
Among several other party zealots and unfit appointees was Aloysius Tarlue, a man with zero practical experience in the banking sector as governor of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) over a list of individuals with MBA, BBA, BSCs amongst others.
Tarlue was appointed from the bottom of a list of trained financial and banking experts due to his influence and connections with top notch CDC officials who commanded the president’s trust including Tweah, Koijee, Mcgill and others.

Tarlue’s appointment was predicated upon the fact that he could easily sign in to the massive corruption been initiated by top government officials.

The CBL’s performance under Tarlue and the CDC was decimal due to incompetence and loyalty to party.
Did Aloysius Tarlu Buy the Job?
The decision of former president Weah to have announced Mr. Tarlue on November 8, 2019 as Executive Governor of the Central Bank of Liberia came as a shock to many, considering that he (Aloysius) was suggested by the party to serve within the supervision Department of the bank.
Tarlue as per many account lacked the experience and requisite qualifications to have jumped to a governor post considering the crucial role of the CBL to be headed by a regime stooge.
Amid all those growing concerns, former President Weah appointed Tarlue. Since his ascendancy, the CBL has been grappling with series of allegations of unauthorized disbursement, illegal transfer and other financial malpractices.
