Former Minister Tweah, China Union In Tricky Deeds to Utilize Bong Social Development Fund–Sen. Prince Moye Alleges

Monrovia, Liberia– Senator Prince Moye, the chairperson of the Bong County Legislative Caucus, has accused former Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and the China Union of working together to utilize the social development budget to block county development.

At his Capitol Building Office, Senator Moye informed legislative media that, in recent times, the China Union has been negotiating the county’s development fund behind closed doors, which is detrimental to the people of Bong County.

He emphasized that the concession is legally binding and that, in his capacity as chair, any agreements the major concession business had made with the Ministry of Finance to reduce its social contribution to Bong County will be reviewed and appropriately addressed.

“No business as Usual” Sen. Moye Started why promising to investigate the allegations. He noted that as the results of the poported negotiation better the former Finance Minister and the Company, Bong is yet to get nearly US $4 Million as part of their social benefits.

At the same time the Bong County Caucus Chair, has vow to unite the County Leadership at the level of the house and Senate so as to move the county forward in terms of Development.
