By Monrovia, Liberia- An American missionary basing in Liberia Lucas Richard who was arrested while trying to behead a Liberian Jessica Lloyd believes to be his girlfriend has been charged and sent to Monrovia Central prison to await court trial.
Defendant Lucas was ordered jail on September 19, 2023 after he was arraigned before the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court on charges of attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault.
It can be record that on 14 September 2023 Richard Lucas was arrested for allegedly attempting to cut off the throat of his Liberian fiancee known as Jessica Lloyd on the Bomi highway where he was seen by a motorcyclists.
However; He denied all charges against him stating that he’s not related to any act of killing, stressing that the incident was caused by an accident involving a motorcyclist and Jessica his fiancee.
