Monrovia, Liberia — Nimba County District 7 Representative Musa Hassan Bility has issued a strong call for immediate presidential action and national unity in response to the growing concerns along Liberia’s border.

In a press statement released Tuesday, Bility described the situation as “serious” and far beyond routine, warning that it directly affects Liberia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He urged President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. to take swift leadership by convening an inclusive meeting of national stakeholders, including government officials and opposition leaders, to address the issue collectively.

“The country deserves a clear and transparent briefing,” Bility emphasized, adding that this is not a moment for politics but a defining national challenge requiring unity.

Call for Inclusive Dialogue

The lawmaker stressed the need for an open and structured platform where key actors can be regularly informed, voice concerns, and contribute to decision-making in the national interest.

According to him, Liberia must present a united front on issues of territorial integrity, warning against silence, division, or complacency.

A Test of Leadership

Bility underscored that the responsibility now lies with the President, as Head of State and Commander-in-Chief, to rally the nation and coordinate a unified response.

“This is a time for coordination, discipline, and leadership,” he stated, urging swift action to reassure citizens and safeguard the country’s interests.

The statement comes amid heightened attention to developments along Liberia’s borders, with calls growing for transparency and decisive national leadership.
