Samuel Tweah, Albert Chie, Emmanuel Nuquay and immediate Relatives Join U.S Visa Restriction list

Washington DC–In addition to the list of United States Sanctioned government officials, Liberia Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel Tweah, Senate Pro tempore Albert Chie Senator Emmanuel Nuquay and their immediate Relatives have been band by the U.S Treasury Department for Corruption, Abuse of Public Office soliciting bribe amongst others.

“Pursuant to Section 7031(c), the United States is publicly designating Tweah, Chie, and Nuquay, afor their involvement in significant corruption by abusing their public positions through soliciting, accepting, and offering bribes to manipulate legislative processes and public funding, including legislative reporting and mining sector activity.”the release noted.

According to the United States Treasury department the Visa Restrictions is extended to immediate family members including their wives Delecia Berry Tweah, Abigail Chie, and Ruthtoria Brown Nuquay, as well as Tweah and Nuquay’s minor children.

The Sanctions posed on Minister Tweah, Senator Chie Senator Nuquay and Monrovia City Mayor Koijee brings to the total number of Seven government officials in the Weah’s administration who have been designated over corruption allegations, Human Rights violation among others.
