The R2 Holy City Community, located between Montserrado and parts of Margibi County, has inducted a new leadership team to steer its affairs for the next three years.
The seven-member leadership, headed by Mr. Daniel R. Dennis, was officially sworn into office over the weekend during a ceremony held along the Robertsfield Highway.
R2 comprises four blocks—two in Montserrado and two in Margibi.
In his inaugural address, Chairman Dennis outlined key challenges facing the community, including flooding, poor waste management, and the need to open access alleys. He attributed the rise in flooding to poor drainage, which he said has become evident during ongoing roadworks by the Ministry of Public Works.
Mr. Dennis also cited the absence of a proper garbage disposal site as a growing health concern for residents.
He pledged to work with stakeholders to address these issues and improve community living conditions.
The new leadership also praised its predecessor for securing land for a planned community resource center and called on residents for collective support to realize the project.
