Pres. Weah Receives Letter of Credence From Egyptian Envoy– Executive Mansion Reports

His Excellency, Dr. George Manneh Weah, on Friday, January 12, 2024, received letter of credence from the Egyptian Ambassador nominated to Liberia.

As President Weah accepted the Letter of Credence from Ambassador Ahmed Abd El Azeem Zeinhom Abd El Shakour Farghaly, he reiterated Liberia’s dedication to bolstering the already robust diplomatic ties that now exist between Egypt and Liberia.

The Liberian Leader reminisced fondly about Egypt’s contributions to the continent of Africa, the world, and Liberia.

“Liberia eagerly looks forward to cementing our already strong ties in multiple areas of cooperation for the mutual benefits for our countries and peoples,” President Weah said.

Earlier, President Weah welcomed the Ambassador and wished him a pleasant stay during the discharge of his duties.

As a genuine symbol of peace and progress, Ambassador Ahmed Abd El Azeem Zeinhom Abd El Shakour Farghaly expressed gratitude to the Chief Executive of Liberia for the kind welcome he had received since his arrival.

“In Africa, Liberia has proven to be a great nation and the nucleus of democracy in Africa,” he said.

The Egyptian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary continued, saying: “As I entered the country, I noticed the road construction, a sign of your progress toward development.” You have the support of the entire globe and Africa for the impending peaceful handover of power.”
