MONROVIA, Liberia – July 6, 2026 — The Liberia Football Association’s Grievance and Disciplinary Committee has expelled Mr. Cassell Anthony Kuoh, President/CEO of FC Fassell, from the Association and all football-related activities for a serious breach of LFA and FIFA statutes.

The LFA announced the decision in a media release on Monday following a formal complaint filed by Mr. J. Melton N. Yoko, President of the Small Town Football Academy. The complaint alleged that Kuoh violated governing rules by seeking legal recourse through an ordinary court to challenge LFA electoral processes.

According to the Committee, led by Acting Chairman Mr. Jenkins D.N. Pelenah, Sr., Kuoh’s decision to file an injunction against the LFA in a civil court constituted “undue third-party interference” in the Association’s internal governance and elections.

The Committee found that the action violated Article 18, Subsection 18.3(J)(K) and Article 19 of the LFA Statutes, which require that all football-related disputes be resolved exclusively through designated Arbitration Tribunals. Kuoh was also found to have breached Article 2, Article 18.3, and Article 19 of the LFA Statutes, as well as Article 51 of the FIFA Statutes.

Citing Chapter 15, Article 27 of the LFA 2018 Approved Statutes, the Committee ordered Kuoh’s expulsion for “knowingly, purposely, intentionally, willfully, and specifically committing serious infringement” of the LFA, FIFA, CAF, and WAFU statutes, regulations, directives, or decisions.

The ruling bars Mr. Kuoh from holding any membership or participating in any football-related activity under the LFA with immediate effect.
