Joint Criticism for Pres. Boakai By ANC, MPC Political Leaders Over “Failure to Adherence of Rule of Law”

Monrovia –President Boakai has been urged by the Alternative National Congress and the Movement for Progressive Change to follow the Supreme Court’s orders, to quickly withdraw any unjustified actions that have been revealed, and to make sure that any changes to government positions are made in compliance with the law.

MPC Political Leader Simeon Freeman, reading a statement on behalf of the two parties, stated that failing to do so would be a dangerous departure from democratic standards as well as a disrespect to the judicial department of the government.

However, Freeman spoke out against the recent and concerning events in Kanjor, Cape Mount County, where the reported use of force by police resulted in the deaths of innocent people, on behalf of the ANC and MPC.
