Monrovia, Liberia_ Evangelist Blahyi call is in reaction to the recent leaked audio circulating in the public which President Joseph Nyuma Boakai held discussion with US based leading advocate Mr, Allen White for the establishment of war and Economic crimes court in the country.
He said the establishment of such court will bring an end to impunity and people who committed atrocities will have their days in court.
During the Liberian civil crisis, Milton Blahyi once General “Butt Naked” and others including Sen. Prince Y. Johnson frontline. However, Milton Blahyi has expressed serious remorse and has asked Liberians for forgiveness.
The CEO of Journey against Violence and (JAV) Proud Liberian against drugs abused (PLADA), organizations involved in the rehabilitation of less fortunate Liberians commonly called (ZOGOS) is urging his fellow colleagues who participated in the Civil unrest to desist from making derogatory comments against the Liberian Leader who’s seeking to establish the court in the country.
It can be recalled on January 22 2024, as part of President Boakai inauguration message, the Liberian leader promised to establish the war and Economic crimes court in the country as means of bringing an end to impunity which was a major pillar of his campaign.
Political pundits believe establishing such court would undermine the relationship between the president and his strong ally Senator Prince Y. Johnson of vote rich Nimba County.
Evangelist Blahyi noted that his support to president Boakai during the 2023 General and Presidential Elections was based on the fact that the Liberian Leader believes in the rules of law as such the establishment of the court will be the beginning of a new dispensation.
