Capitol Hill, Monrovia–Speaker Chambers stated to a local radio station that the Deputy Speaker, who works for one of the arms of government, represents the CBL, LTA, Bea Mountain, and Solway, among other organizations, as proof of the practice of conflict of interest.
He claims that laws exist that discriminate against a single person employed by two different branches of the government, and he encouraged the Deputy Speaker to stop, but she refused.
The Speaker of the 54th legislature, who is leaving office, stated that he once had to voice his displeasure to President Weah about Deputy Speaker Koffa reportedly undercutting his position at the legislature.
