Capitol Hill, Monrovia – Bong county Electoral District # 2 Representative James Kolleh has accused representative Josiah Marvin Cole, the House’s committee chair on Rules,Orders and Administration for allege unrealistic expenditure of US$ (75,000)Seventy five thousand united states Dollars for the procurement of Legislative employees’ identification cards.
Rep. Kolleh argued that the amount is exorbitant for said purpose.
The Bong county district# 2 Representative said the Seventy Five thousands united states Dollars were placed in the budget for the purchasing of Legislative identification cards and to place electronic doors at the chamber of the House of Representatives but on the contrary they were informed by Representative Cole that the Money were only spent on the procurement of employees identification cards.
Representative Kolleh noted that it’s so disappointing that the money which was appropriated in the budget to carryout a specific project was not spend for the intended purpose as he called on his colleague to give accountability for the money.
“Liberians are dying on a daily basis due to lack of drugs in major health facilities than the Legislature is spending tax payers money without accountability” Kolleh intimated.
For his part, Representative Marvin Cole described the allegations as baseless and unfounded.
The Bong county district # 3 Lawmaker has vowed to provide documentation during his anticipated press conference regarding the actual unfolding.
