BedTime: President Boakai Accepts Resignation of LDEA Officer-In-Charge, Appoints New Acting Director General

Executive Mansion – In a significant leadership change at the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has accepted the immediate resignation of Mr. Christopher S. Peters, Sr., who served as Officer-In-Charge. Mr. Peters expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the agency in his resignation letter.

During his tenure, Mr. Peters spearheaded critical initiatives, including the seizure of illicit drugs valued at $4 million and securing long-term prison sentences for drug traffickers. President Boakai commended Mr. Peters for his dedicated service and wished him success in his future endeavors.

In light of this change, President Boakai has appointed Mr. Anthony Souh as the Acting Director General of the LDEA. The President expressed full confidence in Mr. Souh’s ability to lead the agency with commitment and dedication.

This appointment underscores the administration’s ongoing commitment to combatting drug-related issues and enhancing the operational capabilities of the LDEA.
