Senator Saah Joseph Narrowly Escaped Death

Congo Town, Liberia- Early Thursday morning Montserrado County Senator Saah Johnson Congo Town residence gutted fire. Even though the cause of the fire is yet to be established, it’s believed that the fire was caused by electrical shock.

According to an eye witness who is identified as Samuel Henery he was trying to sleep around 12:30 when he heard a noise from community dwellers yelling “fire”. He got out and joined other to cut the smaller gate at the Senate’s fence to get access to the house.

He added that when they got there they saw two persons in the house through the window(Man and Woman). He continue “we burst the window and took the lady out after which we asked about the senator, where is the Senator she reply he is in the room”.

He noted that after receiving such information two of the residents in the community who are police officers went in and brought out Senator Saah Johnson unconscious. “we brought him out unconscious while wearing only breef and took him to Catholic hospital”.

Following the incident, the Liberian Senate cancelled the February 8, 2024 section in empathy of the situation involving their colleague Senator Saah Joseph. After a serious conscentation the body was seen driving out of the Capitol building to pay Senator Joseph an empathy visit excluding the Senate Committee on security that left beyond to conduct the confirmation hearing of the Minister of Defense Designate Retired Major General Prince Johnson that took later around 3:00PM on Thursday.
