Monrovia, Liberia- Ex CDC district Number Eight Representative Moses Acarus Gray has frowned at President Boakai’s decision to audit the National Security Agency, stating that the action is intended to undermine the National Security of the state.
The CDC Stewart noted that the the Liberian leader was wrongly advise by supporters in his cycle. According to Mr. Gray, the action is against the Law of the NSA to publicly disclosed their budget to the public.
Appearing as guest on a local radio talkshow in Monrovia on Thursday February 8 2024, the Former chairman on executive at the House of Representatives opinionated that the National Security Agency as an intelligent arm of the government can only be audited base on circumstances and that the President can appoint “independent auditor” to conduct such audit, giving specific instance on security matters.
It can be recalled that on Wednesday of Feb 7, 2024 the the Commander in Chief of the Republic of Liberia ordered the the General Auditing Commission (GAC) to conduct audit at CBL, NSA and EPS respectfully.
