Monrovia, Liberia – The Political Leader of the OCM Movement, Dr. Thomas Nimeneh Tweh Jr., commonly known as “Original Country Man,” has issued a stern warning to Majority Bloc Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, giving him a 60-day ultimatum to unite members of the House of Representatives or face impeachment by his constituents.

Dr. Tweh made the statement over the weekend during the first-anniversary celebration of the OCM Movement in Caldwell. Expressing his disappointment, he accused Representative Koon of aligning with other lawmakers to orchestrate the removal of the elected Speaker.

“I didn’t seek advice from my team members for such a decision because I believe it’s now time we put a stop to individuals who think they can continue to break the laws of this country,” Dr. Tweh stated.

He further alleged that Koon had a history of political manipulation, referencing the 2023 elections when he claimed the lawmaker conspired with other candidates to block his candidacy in District #11 by exploiting the court system. Dr. Tweh, who was seen as a frontrunner for the district’s legislative seat, was disqualified on residency grounds.

“I don’t care who the Speaker of the House is, but let the rule of law be respected by Koon and others. If not, I will rally citizens in the district to gather 10,000 signatures to have him removed as Representative of District #11,” he declared.

The political atmosphere in District #11 remains tense as the deadline looms. It remains to be seen how Speaker Koon and his allies will respond to the ultimatum.
