Monrovia – Sethi Brothers Incorporated, one of Liberia’s leading manufacturing and trading conglomerates, continues to strengthen its position as a pillar of Liberia’s industrial transformation, with expanded operations at the Monrovia Industrial Park in Gardnersville and across Montserrado County.

For over four decades, the company has invested in local production, operating Liberia’s first modern steel manufacturing facility – Sethi Ferro Fabrik Incorporated – alongside Duraplast Liberia Inc. and Sethi Stores. Its product portfolio includes high-grade steel rods, nails, PVC and galvanized pipes, plastic furniture, water tanks, and a wide range of building and household materials that support Liberia’s post-conflict reconstruction and urban expansion.

Acting Commerce and Industry Minister Hon. Stephen Yekeson recently toured the company’s facility as part of a high-level assessment of the Monrovia Industrial Park. The visit, which included senior Deputy Ministers, highlighted Sethi Brothers as a critical driver of Liberia’s productive economy and a key contributor to import substitution and job creation. The company currently provides direct and indirect employment to hundreds of Liberians, including many in Stockton Creek, Gardnersville and surrounding communities.

Beyond manufacturing, Sethi Brothers has demonstrated strong corporate citizenship. The company maintains one of the most reliable private industrial fire engines in the country, which has repeatedly supported the Liberia National Fire Service during emergencies, including the swift containment of a blaze at the Lonestar Cell MTN Headquarters in Congo Town. The company also recently relocated its paint and chemical warehouses from Iron Factory to the Monrovia Industrial Complex in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) directives, to enhance community safety.

The management of Sethi Brothers Incorporated says its long-term vision is aligned with the Government of Liberia’s industrialization agenda – to produce quality, affordable, made-in-Liberia goods, reduce dependence on imports, and build resilient supply chains for construction and housing.

With ongoing investments in technology, safety, and workforce development, Sethi Brothers reaffirms its commitment to serving Liberian consumers, empowering small businesses, and partnering with government and development partners to build a stronger, self-reliant Liberian economy.
