Nigeria: Abuja Overwhelmed with Continues “End Bad Governance” Protest

According to Report, On Saturday, demonstrators went back to the streets in the Federal Capital Territory following a brief period of quiet.

The demonstration has resumed its activities after being suspended earlier because of searches on homes and the apprehension of its organizers.

Today, a one million-man march across the nation is scheduled to mark the conclusion of the protest, which began on August 1.

Our correspondent saw on Friday that there were a lot of security personnel in the Central Business District neighborhoods, likely in anticipation of today’s protest.

The number of security officers stationed at Eagles Square has also noticeably increased, in contrast to the previous three days when there haven’t been any protests.

Protesters on Saturday started chanting slogans like “End hunger” and “Reverse fuel subsidy removal,” among other things, as early as 7 a.m.
