Unity Party rubbishes rumors of “BLACKLIST” circulating on Social media; terms it as childish propaganda from the CDC

Monrovia, Liberia- Unity Party has distance itself from a circulating Social media report alledging the party of blacklisting over 50 individuals including government officials and media personalities for elimination upon winning the 2023 Presidential election.

The purported “black list” circulating claims to have names of people such as Finance Minister Samuel D. Tweah, Jr, President Weah’s Chief of Protocol Finda Bundoo, ALP Political Leader Benoni Wilfred Urey, Liberia Crusaders for Peace Executive Director Madam Juli Endee, Telia Urey, Henry P. Costa, Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee, Leymah Gbowee, Philipbert Browne, Julius Jeh, Moriah Yeakula, Cllr. Arthur T. Johnson, Chief Zanzan Karwar, Garrison Yealue, Reginald Mehn, amongst many others.

The Party has categorically distance itself from the allegation, describing it as malicious lie ocastrated by the CDC for propaganda purposes.

The UP further maintained that the only post war targeted list was created by the CDC immediately after they assumed the Leadership of Liberia and has since been targeting, eliminating and generally harming Liberians.

“We are not surprise that a day after the Liberian people defied torrential rain and assembled to affirm their support for the Presidential bid of H. E Joseph Nyuma Boakai and the Rescue Team, the CDC has gone in panic mood and as such; have resulted to using desperate propaganda to taint the democratic image of the Unity Party” added.

The UP known as Rescue Mission calls on the ruling establishment to campaign on its record of service if there is any and desist from childish propaganda that has the proclivity to undermine the peace and stability of the country.

Meanwhile, the party is calling on all partisans, members of Alliance parties and supporters of the rescue mission to continue with the ongoing door to door engagement and ultimately come out in their mass to vote against the CDC-led government comes October.
