Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has levied a $10,000 fine against Jubilee FC after discovering that the club submitted a fraudulent business registration document. The penalty follows an investigation into the club’s documentation, which revealed violations of the LFA’s Rules and Regulations.
In a communication dated January 2, 2025, the LFA informed Jubilee FC of the breach, citing it as a violation of the Club Licensing Book of Sanctions. The statement read:
“This action constitutes a clear violation of the approved Club Licensing Book of Sanctions and the Rules and Regulations governing our association. Consequently, due to this violation and in accordance with the stipulations outlined in the Book of Sanctions, we hereby impose a financial penalty of $10,000 on Jubilee FC.”
The discovery was made during a routine document verification process, where the LFA cross-checked documents from 12 clubs with the Liberia Business Registry (LBR) for authentication.
Jubilee FC has been given seven days to pay the fine. Failure to comply within the stipulated period may lead to further disciplinary actions, including the potential suspension of the club from participating in league activities.
The LFA reiterated its commitment to upholding the integrity of Liberian football, emphasizing that all clubs must adhere to the highest standards and regulations to ensure fair competition.
This development highlights the LFA’s efforts to maintain transparency and accountability within the league.
