Teachers Association of Liberia (NPTAL), the National Association of Private School
Owners of Liberia, and the Concerned Education Workers of Liberia that represent a diverse group of stakeholders who are hugely investing in the advancement of the education sector in Liberia has written a communication to the Liberian Senate regarding the recent selection of Margibi County Senator Nathaniel McGill as the head of the Senate Committee on Education.

The Education stakeholders letter stated that Senator McGill isindividual who has been sanctioned by the United States of America and the decision made by the Senate raises doubts over the future of the educational sector in the country. The letter furthered that the action of the august body in the Parliament to appoint Margibi Sanctioned Senator McGill is a discouragement in the strive for better education.

According to as representatives of educators, principals, parents, teachers, and workers, they firmly believe that this appointment undermines the principles of accountability and integrity. in the education. Their letter added that Senator McGill lacks the moral standing required to effectively lead the committee responsible in order to shape the educational landscape of Liberia.
