Senator Dillion Vows to make “Drug Test a Prerequisite” for Senate Confirmation Appointed Officials in Security Sector

Monrovia, Liberia–Highlighting the seriousness of the threat the younger Liberian generation is facing, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon of Montserrado County has stated that he will work to make drug testing a mandatory prerequisite for confirmation for any government official nominated to positions in the security sector, specifically the LDEA.

“The security people, whether Police Director, NSA Boss, especially the Drug Enforcement Agency, before we confirm you, it will be a requirement that you will do drug test.”

“We will take the issue of drug seriously in this country. I believe strongly, that President Joseph Boakia and Vice President Jeremiah Koung, Senator Dillon and all of us in leadership will do drug test.
Any public officials tested positive of drug, you don’t belong in Government.”

Senator Dillon delivered the remarks on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the graduation of the second class of 14 underprivileged youngsters from his rehabilitation center, “The CENTER FOR REHABILITATION and REINTEGRATION,” in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.
