By Monrovia, Liberia– Former Representative Candidate of Montserrado County electoral District 6 and a strong Confidant of Margibi Sanctioned Senator Author Gotolo has been arrested and charged with multiple crimes including theft of property, Misapplication of Entrusted Property, and Criminal Mischief.
Gotolo is a strong pal to Former Minister of state and now Margibi County Senator Nathaniel McGill who was sanctioned by the US Treasury Department for alleged corruption.
On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Accused Gotolo was taken into custody in response to a private prosecutor’s lawsuit.
The Police charge sheet claims that defendant Gotolo obtained US$20,000 with the intent to use it to build a plant and crusher for the purpose of washing gold, but that appellant failed and disregarded the reason for which the money was acquired.
