The workshop gathers medical staff from across Liberia to build skills in Lassa Fever prevention, early detection, surveillance, patient care, infection control, and outbreak response.

This effort is part of Liberia’s broader plan to strengthen readiness for new and returning infectious diseases.

Through hands-on activities, group discussions, and technical sessions, participants are learning how to spot cases faster and respond quickly at both health facilities and community levels.

The training also focuses on strong surveillance networks, clear public messaging, and following health safety protocols to help stop the virus from spreading.

By the end, participants should have the tools needed to improve Lassa Fever preparedness and response nationwide, supporting Liberia’s overall disease prevention and outbreak management goals.
