Major Boost: Senator-elect Amara Konneh, Dr. Togar Gayewea McIntosh and 33 others Endorse JNB Ahead of Runoff Elections

Monrovia, Liberia – In a significant boost to the presidential bid of Unity Party’s Joseph Boakai, several prominent figures and groups have thrown their support behind the opposition leader as Liberia prepares for the presidential runoff on November 14.

Former Minister of Finance and newly-elected Senator of Gbarpolu County, Amara Konneh, along with Gayewea Mcintosh and 33 defeated candidates in Bong County, have pledged to rally their supporters in favor of Joseph Boakai. They firmly believe that Boakai is best suited to lead the nation beyond 2024 and have expressed their commitment to his cause.

This endorsement comes from a group known as the Bong Think Tank, comprising former legislative candidates, and reflects a shared vision for improving basic social services, the rule of law, and accountability, among other critical aspects of governance.

In a remarkable show of unity, Gbarpolu County Senator-elect Amara Konneh and Dr. Togar Gayewea McIntosh, former Chairman of the Governance Commission, have also given their endorsement to Joseph Boakai’s presidential candidacy. Their support emphasizes Boakai’s appeal across diverse sections of society and highlights the growing momentum behind his campaign.

Additionally, former presidential candidate Bendu Alehnm Kromah, who secured 13th place in the October 10 presidential and legislative elections, accumulating 0.33% of the total vote, has declared her backing for Joseph Boakai. These endorsements underscore the widespread belief in Boakai’s ability to lead Liberia towards a brighter future and consolidate his position as a strong contender in the upcoming presidential runoff.
