By Monrovia, Liberia- The Ministry of Justice through the Liberia joint Security has disclosed that consignment of boxes it intercepted herbal plants packaged and in natural form at the Roberts International Airport shows a presence of methenamine.
The ministry in a press release dated September 12, 2023 states that as part of the investigation conducted by the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency, revealed the presence of illicit drugs which is under the rules of United Nations Office of Drugs and Crimes (UNODC).
Meanwhile, The Justice Minister Cllr. Frank Musah Dean Jr. has with immediate effect ordered the Join Security as well as the LDEA, LNP and the NSA to expand findings on their investigations regarding the importation of the illegal drugs with the aim of bringing to book those involved.The ministry however pledged to have the public updated as investigation over the illicit drugs continues.
