Just In: Ministry of Justice Launches Investigation Into Mysterious Death of South African Businessman

Monrovia, Liberia – The Ministry of Justice of Liberia has commenced a full investigation into the death of Mr. Anwar Futloo, a South African national and General Manager of the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Monrovia. Mr. Futloo passed away under mysterious circumstances on December 30, 2024, raising concerns within the Liberian and international communities.

To determine the exact cause of death, the Ministry has ordered an autopsy to be conducted on Mr. Futloo’s remains. In a press release issued today, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to thoroughly investigating the incident and prosecuting anyone found culpable.

“The Government of Liberia is deeply concerned about the death of the South African national and will do everything within its power to ensure justice is served,” the release stated.
