Former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete paid a visit to President Joseph Boakai at the Executive Mansion, bringing a special message from Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The discussion centered on strengthening ties between the two countries, promoting peace, and boosting African unity.
Kikwete was joined by Professor Mohamed Janabi, a top advisor on health and nutrition, who thanked Boakai for the warm welcome. Boakai recalled his past meetings with Kikwete and his recent visit to Tanzania for an energy summit.
Boakai praised Kikwete’s ongoing service as a Special Envoy and reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to stronger relations with Tanzania. Kikwete expressed interest in returning for another visit, while Boakai sent his best wishes to President Hassan and the Tanzanian people.
