Monrovia, Liberia – Deputy Minister Anthony V. Kesselly has been fined $2,500 USD by the Ombudsman’s office for his inappropriate and offensive remarks on social media. The fine follows a complaint filed by Boye Koboi regarding Kesselly’s heated online exchanges.

Kesselly’s comments, which included derogatory language directed at Torkpa Korkoryiza, were in defense of the First Lady and a female Cabinet Minister. The Deputy Minister expressed regret for his actions following the ruling.

The incident has sparked discussions on the conduct of public officials in digital spaces and the need for accountability in public discourse.
