Monrovia, Liberia – Saraphen Blessing Dahn, the Assistant Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has officially resigned from her position. In a letter addressed to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., Dahn expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the Liberian government, citing personal and educational pursuits as the reasons for her departure.
“It is with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of humility that I formally tender my resignation,” Dahn stated in her letter. She acknowledged the trust placed in her at a young age and described her tenure as both personally and professionally fulfilling.
Dahn highlighted her contributions to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the government’s ARREST agenda, an initiative aimed at economic reform and national development. Despite stepping down, she pledged her continued commitment to Liberia’s progress and assured a smooth transition for her successor.
Her resignation letter was officially received on March 17, 2025, at 10:12 AM by the ministry’s administrative office.
The departure of Assistant Minister Dahn marks a shift within the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and her resignation raises questions about potential changes within the government’s administrative landscape. The ministry has yet to announce a replacement.
Government Response and Future Prospects
The Executive Mansion has not yet issued an official statement regarding Dahn’s resignation. However, her decision to leave for further education suggests a continued investment in her professional development, which could see her return to public service in the future.
As Liberia continues its push for economic growth and development, the departure of a key official in the Commerce Ministry signals a potential reshuffle within the administration. The nation now awaits the president’s decision on who will fill the vacancy left by Dahn’s resignation.
