DACTI Sets to Travel with Over 57 Liberian Kids in Seven Countries for Cultural Performance; Calls on GOL, NGOs for Financial Support

Monrovia, Determined Angel Culture and Tourism International (DACTI), is expected to tour in at least seven countries, with over fifty-seven talented Liberian kids for cultural performances.

The activities, according to Mrs. Patricia Davis Hamelberg, will kick off in June of this year, 2024, where the kids who have been nurtured with Liberian culture will showcase their talent in countries such as the United States of America, China, Spain, Thailand, and Vienna, amongst others.

In an exclusive interview with The People News Online, DACTI Boss Noted that the intent of the trip is to create avenues for a better experience as well as to attract international investors to the country’s tourism system through cultural displays.

“These are things that bring about development. We are talking about infrastructure, the employment rate, generating revenue, and so forth. So when we get out there, the name of Liberia is spreading out, which helps people have a better insight into our country’s tourism,” she explained.

The DACTI ED furthered that there’s an available opportunity for those wanting to travel along with her team for the scheduled event in June.

“If you want to go with us, contact us.”

However, Mrs. Hamelberg is calling on the Liberian government, nongovernmental organizations, and all humanitarian groups to financially compensate the young, talented children so as to process their remaining needs ahead of their departure date.

As part of efforts to raise funds for the remarkable journey ahead of their departure, the organization has also set May 26, 2024, aside for a robust fundraising rally at Monrovia City Hall. Patricia is therefore appealing to citizens, both home and abroad, to turn out and buttress their initiative.

“Even if it’s $500 Liberty or whatever you have, just come and donate it to the kids”

Meanwhile, amid preparations for the June 2024 event, Mrs. Patricia Davis Hamelberg is at the same time pleading with the embassies of countries they are expected to travel, such as The US Embassy in Monrovia, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia and others to accept the team Visa process which is key to their trip.

Determined Angel Culture and Tourism International is a nonprofit organization established in 2009 that assists children in discovering their innate gifts and using theater to learn about Liberian culture.
