Graduands of the 4th Batch sit in there
In a bold move to empower Liberia’s youthful population, Brace Institutes of Technology graduated 68 students in Information Technology at its 4th Graduation ceremony held over the weekend in Monrovia. The ceremony, which celebrated the students’ achievements, also underscored the institution’s commitment to bridging the country’s skills gap in the tech industry.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Eric Makn, the Chief Information Officer of Access Bank Liberia, urged the graduates to go beyond theoretical knowledge and “practicalize” their skills to carve their own paths in an ever-evolving world. He emphasized that in today’s tech-driven world, graduates have the potential to be powerful agents of change in society, contributing to the country’s digital transformation.
Mr. Prince N. W. Droh, CEO of Brace Institutes, also made bold statements about the future of the institution. He announced plans to expand course offerings across various departments and to decentralize the institute’s presence by establishing branches in all 15 administrative subdivisions of Liberia. “In today’s world, technology is omnipresent. The skills you’ve acquired here are valuable tools—don’t wait to be employed before making an impact,” Mr. Droh advised the new graduates.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the institution’s mission to build a skilled workforce capable of leading Liberia’s technological revolution.
