Staunch CDC supporter lauds UP partisans following successful campaign launched.

Monrovia, Liberia– Samuel P. Jackson who is a renown Supporter of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change has admonished a huge turnout of Liberians for his major opponent Unity Party’s official campaign launch on 17 September 2023, describing it as Unprecedented in recent Liberian history.

Mr. Johnson wrote:

“Good morning my fellow Liberians. At age 70 when you’re close to your maker one must be honest and courageous. That serves as an example for future generations.

The tens of thousands of Liberians who braved the strong and incessant rains and walked in the Soni Drainage on Lynch Street sent Liberia a strong message. I got that message. I believe the CDC the side I support got that message.

I believe the CDC has all within its powers to win the election. Weah made significant achievements. However if a significant base of support is shown in a way that has never been shown in recent Liberian history then we must truly pay attention. Opposition are Liberians.

We need them to govern and run a truly liberal democracy. It’s a credit to our administration that a massive opposition rally could occur in our democracy. Peacefully and no incident of violence.

Liberians turned out in their numbers yesterday to make their statement. As we did on ours September 7. I salute them even if I disagree with some of their position statements! But they are entitled to their views. I hope they respect mine.

Let’s live peaceably together. The country belongs to us all.”

The Unity Party National Campaign Launch which took place over the weekend in Monrovia and portion of Liberia has intensified the argument of president Weah’s reelection comes October 10, 2023 as citizens continue to compare the popularity of Both candidates.
